A promise to Adrian Peterson

A promise to Adrian Peterson
“The Sioux Falls police department released news this afternoon that one of Adrian Peterson’s children, a 2-year-old son, has died from injuries sustained in an alleged assault by the boyfriend of the child’s mother.”

Our deepest condolences go out to Adrian Peterson, his son’s mother and their families. In times of tragedy, we can find ourselves at a loss for words. Although we try, we struggle to feel hope when such suffering fills our world. It is easy to shake our fists in anger. In these moments, I try to ask myself what I can do. It may be not be much, but this is my promise. I ask you to join me in this oath.

If you suspect that a child is being abused, I urge you to contact authorities or call the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453). When you call this hotline, a qualified crisis counselor will answer and assist you. “Share” to raise awareness to this important resource.
