Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the VP of Chapter Programs will play a critical role in establishing, implementing and maintaining the organization’s vision for social impact through a chapter programs. The VP of Chapter Programs will oversee the coordination and administration of all aspects of the Chapter/Club Program including planning, organizing, leading and controlling program activities and will monitor and report on progress throughout the process.

Responsibilities include:

• Plan the delivery of the overall program and its activities in accordance with the mission and the goals of because I said I would.
• Work in conjunction with the CEO to develop and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the program
• Work in conjunction with the VP of Operations and Development to develop an annual budget and operating plan to support the program
• Develop a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement
• Speak on behalf of the organization about the importance of a promise at local, regional and national events
• Ensure that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization
• Develop forms and records to document program activities
• Oversee the collection and maintenance of data and deliverables from the individual chapters for statistical purposes
• In consultation with the CEO, recruit and select qualified program chapter leaders
• Establish and implement a performance management process for all program chapters
• Ensure that all chapter members receive an appropriate orientation to the organization and the program
• Supervise chapters by providing direction, input and feedback
• Communicate with chapter members to gain support for the program and to solicit input to improve the program
• Collaborate with staff when appropriate, to ensure effective and efficient program delivery
• Communicate updates and milestones of the program to the CEO
• Ensure that the program operates within the approved budget
• Identify and evaluate the risks associated with program activities and take appropriate action to control the risks
• Monitor the program activities on a regular basis and conduct an annual evaluation according to the program evaluation framework
• Report evaluation findings to the CEO and recommend changes to enhance the program, as appropriate.
• Manage, coach and develop chapter team.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in being passionate about a cause and being a part of the solution.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including use of web-based, virtual communication tools.
• Ability to influence and engage a wide range of people and build long-term relationships
• Ability to develop a step-by-step plan with well-defined tasks and timeline.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly and adeptly about addressing problems as they again.
• Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced and virtual environment.
• Knowledge of program management
• Understand ethical behavior and business practices, and ensure that own behavior and the behavior of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of because I said I would.
• Ability to assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of because I said I would
• Experience in setting priorities, developing a work schedule and tracking and evaluating progress towards goals
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in a related field and managing the performance of employees.
• Ability and willingness to work in what could be non-standard workplaces and a nonstandard work week

Preferred Skills

• Master’s degree in a related field
• 10 years’ experience in program management
• Advanced training in conflict management and leadership development

Role and Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Founder, the Speaking Engagement Manager will dedicate most of their working time to securing speaking engagements for because I said I would speakers. We are looking to continue to build upon our success of booking speaking engagements in which 100% of the speaking fee goes to our nonprofit. The speaking engagement manger will strategically handle over 600 requests per year and build upon current relationships and develop new strategic ways to promote and book speaking engagements to benefit the Nonprofit. Other responsibilities include the following:

• Build and maintain list of and network of conference organizers
• Develops and executes contracts for speaking engagements
• Communicates information to the Founder and the Founder's Executive Assistant
• Ensures that contracts are accurate and signed in appropriate time frame
• Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of speaking engagement status.
• Maintain a database of all speaking opportunities and contacts for future pitching and proactively reach out to conference organizers at the right times
• Understand event session/speaking requirements and advise our team on the appropriate positioning needed to maximize the quality and quantity of speaking engagements booked
• Keeps records of all interactions with potential events
• Utilize database to monitor speaker bureau coordinator progress of initiating and managing each program
• Provide superior customer service to our clients including senior marketing executives
• Ability to detect problems and potential trouble spots that would impede the ability to execute contracts/event
• Build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Negotiate speaking engagement fees

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or university and three to five years related sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The right candidate will have experience in sales, public relations, and marketing. He/she must be extremely detail-oriented and able to simultaneously manage multiple business transactions. In addition, they must be a decisive and strong communicator – both written and verbal. Energetic individual with great interpersonal skills, good at networking and building relationships

This role will strategize, plan and execute compelling content, as well as contribute creative ideas that will increase participation at because I said I would programs. The Social Marketing Director is responsible for managing the execution of daily communications across social media, websites, email, webinars and other digital formats. Other responsibilities include the following:

• Write engaging stories and content and post to because I said I would social media pages
• Develop and maintain a content guide and posting schedule for all because I said I would programs.
• Develop strategy for communication platforms and communities (including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.) to increase awareness of and participation in because I said I would chapter programs and the overall movement.

• Build a unified and consistent brand for all because I said I would chapters across various social media platforms.

• Participate in because I said I would Cleveland chapter meetings.

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Journalism or Marketing. Five to six years or work experience writing compelling content and managing social media. Role and Responsibilities

Reporting directly to Social Media Manager, the Motion Graphics Designer is responsible for the creation of all digital content and high-quality 2D animation to share the because I said I would message. As the Motion Graphics Designer you will work closely with staff developing creative and impactful images.

Responsibilities in these areas including but are not limited to:
Design:

• Design new graphics for new products, banners, flyers, packaging and other promotional material.
• Design infographics and other visual elements that clearly communicate sometimes complex messages or concepts.
• Creates graphics, animations and sounds as needed.
• Script, storyboard, allocate resources and set deadlines for projects.

Production:

• Creating and composting 2-D motion graphics
• Determines lighting needs, sets audio, and positions video camera to determine appropriate shots of persons and objects.
• Operates appropriate video cameras, audio recorders, lighting fixtures, audio-mixing boards, and related video production equipment when required.

Post Production:

• Creates graphic elements based on company brand standards.
• Gathers various elements for postproduction including Keynote graphics, on camera video recordings, audio recordings, pre-designed animation elements and stock music.
• Researches stock footage, music and images; obtains proper licensing for assets.
• Post production work including, but not limited to, color correction, stabilization, and effects
• Edits and verifies content for accuracy and esthetic value.
• Compresses completed projects for both online distribution
• Organize and manage video assets in a library/archive

Qualifications and Education Requirements
