Role and Responsibilities

The Recruitment and HR Manager will dedicate most of their working time to the development of recruitment processes and the implementation of recruitment innovations to fill volunteer, board member and staff vacancies.

The right candidate will have experience in full utilization of social media recruitment and communication as it relates to HR. Secondary responsibilities include developing HR policies and coordinating HR activities, such as benefits, training, and employee services by performing the following duties:

Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the VP of Chapter Programs will play a critical role in establishing, implementing and maintaining the organization’s vision for social impact through a chapter programs. • Design new graphics for new products, banners, flyers, packaging and other promotional material.

• Assist with the marketing and promotion of local Chapter by visiting network/marketing events, Chapter events, and distributing marketing materials there (e.g. flyers, Chapter business cards, etc.)

• Assisting with special projects that may include folding, cutting and printing needs
• Packing, weighing, labeling and shipping merchandise and supplies
• Counting promise cards
• Data entry for leads and lead verification
• Uploading event photos and contact information in the database
• Data entry for chapter, speaking engagement, fundraising, newsletter and character education inquiries from events

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Use of MS office suite – basic Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
• Candidate must be available for a consistent weekly schedule (can be determined with the Fulfilment Manager).
• Detail oriented with numbers

Preferred Skills

• Experience with shipping procedures and protocol
• Salesforce experience a plus

Mission

Because I said I would is a social movement and nonprofit dedicated to the betterment of humanity through promises made and kept. Our charitable and educational programs provide inspiration, education and encouragement to individuals, helping to restore the importance of promise in today’s society.
Over 6 million promise cards have been counted, packed and shared around the world, only possible with the help of our volunteers. In addition to regular volunteer opportunities for promise-card distribution, we have several volunteer positions available for specific, consistent administrative needs.

Role and Responsibilities

Supervised by the Office Manager, this is a great opportunity to assist in the administrative needs of because I said I would while maintaining confidentiality with all information. The HR Intern will support the human resources by performing the following activities:

• Maintenance of human resource files
• Assist with recruiting activities
• Update and maintain intranet site
• Assist with forms processing
• Assist with other office administrative activities

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Coursework in human resources
• Working knowledge of MS office suite – basic Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
• Must understand the importance of confidentiality
• Work a consistent schedule during office hours, M-F, 9:00am to 5:00pm

Preferred Skills

• Previous work experience in human resources
