Lesson Plans are here!

Learning English, Math and Science is incredibly important. But…

If we are not educating the next generation to be decent human beings to one another, then what’s the point of it all? Exemplary leaders create an inspiring vision for the future and motivate and inspire people to engage with that vision. The vision of
because I said I would is to create a culture of accountability and to train leaders to encourage people to be difference-makers by making and keeping promises to oneself and others, and by actively engaging in humanitarian causes in schools, neighborhoods, and communities.
Because I said I would lesson plans are interdisciplinary learning tools designed for students that can be utilized by educators and counselors alike.

Local Chapter Promise

Every child deserves to celebrate their birthday! In fact,
recognizing and celebrating a child’s birthday is a crucial component of a child’s overall emotional health and development.

The Cleveland Chapter of because I said I would hosted a birthday party for local homeless children who very well may not get to celebrate their special day. (Or perhaps never have.) 30 volunteers and almost 50 children and their parents/guardian attended the party.

Chapter Leadership Spotlight

Q&A with Denver Unified Promise Leader:
Nicole

What has been your favorite Unified Promise so far?

I would have to say serving the meal at Judi’s house in Denver. This is a nonprofit that helps children deal with their grief. Being able to make a meal from scratch with other members and then serve the kids and their family was really special. There is something about the power of serving a meal.

Fall is coming. Are you ready?
